PROJECT IMPACT

THE PROBLEM
According to the U.S. Census, in 2022, 19.4% of residents of Washington County, Florida, lived in poverty, compared to 12.7% statewide. Over 70% of Florida’s low-income renters are cost-burdened, and close to 45% of low-income renters are severely cost-burdened. The limited supply of affordable rental housing for low-income families is constantly shrinking, requiring new affordable homes to be built to maintain supply (Home Matters: A Report from the Florida Housing Coalition, 2024).
OUR MISSION
To cultivate a highly skilled workforce in cutting-edge technology who are prepared for the new age of technology and offer innovative, affordable housing solutions to increase housing equity.

OUR VISION
To be the leading organization recognized for transforming rural communities into thriving hubs of opportunities and growth.

OUR IMPACT
Residents possessing in-demand tech skills—such as coding, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and data analytics—can build a life of security and prosperity spanning generations. Furthermore, developing critical thinking empowers residents to make informed decisions that put them in front of people who will open doors to new opportunities.

Our project will conquer the challenge of 'brain drain' affecting younger generations and help prevent the outmigration of young talent.
A key contribution is teaching residents skills that enable them to work remotely for companies worldwide. This gives them the freedom to explore places they have always dreamed of. Residents of Washington County will be able to compete for higher taxable income from the comforts of their home. Our live-work concept will boost the local economy with increased property, income, business tax revenues and consumer spending.
We will create affordable, eco-friendly housing that fits local budgets, enabling people to prioritize education, work, and well-being without high housing expenses. Incorporating communal spaces into our housing project promotes interaction and collaboration among residents, ultimately leading to a more cohesive and secure community.
